The home page contains a randomly selected word cloud which will pique your curiosity and help you improve your vocabulary, while the search box allows you to find specific words easily. I haven't tried the controller with an iPhone and I suspect that could be interesting, due to the size of the screen and the fact the phone won't be physically part of the controller. My iPad fits snugly in the controller and makes playing a nice experience.
The games are good, the simulation of the ball movement is great and the flippers are very responsive. Could this be a decent software simulator with real hardware flipper buttons?
When I saw this controller I wondered whether, at last, here was something to get to grips with. Since those heady days, the real thing has all but disappeared and I have always been disappointed by simulators on PC, phone etc. It was, and still is, an excellent hand-eye coordinator. The Duo Pinball Controller for iPad, iPod, and iPhone is great fun, I don't know how I've lived without it!Īs a youth (and that was many years ago, when pinball machines were common in pubs) I loved playing pinball.
